See How Awesome Chris Evans Would Look As Metal Gear Solid's Snake

Video games have never quite been able to make a satisfying jump to the big screen, but that hasn't stopped Hollywood from trying. This year saw the release of movies like Tomb Raider and Rampage, and there are plenty more in development. One such movie is Metal Gear Solid, which is based on the absolutely bonkers video game series created by Hideo Kojima. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is working on the project and, while no star has been attached to play the lead, fan concept art envisions what Chris Evans would look like as Solid Snake. The Answer? Badass.

It's very tough to explain the Metal Gear Solid franchise and the convoluted backstory of Solid Snake, but he's basically a super spy who has to sneak into places and stop world-ending threats that typically revolve around these giant robotic mechs known as Metal Gear. There's a lot more going on than just that, but it's up to Jordan Vogt-Roberts to explain the rest to you if the movie comes out. Vogt-Roberts has been working hard to get the movie made and has been showing off one piece of concept art a day for a total of 30 days in order to get people pumped and as a pitch for what a movie would look like. However, this concept art comes from graphic artist and internet darling BossLogic.

BossLogic, who at this point has built up a huge catalog of superhero-based fan art, decided to sketch what Marvel star Chris Evans would look like as Solid Snake. Using an Avengers: Infinity War design as the base, BossLogic envisions a world where Chris Evans was cast as Solid Snake. With Snake's trademark headband and cigarette, Evans makes for a pretty convincing Snake. I'm not sure that Evans would be interested in jumping into another franchise after he just wrapped a 10-year stint as Captain America, but it'd be interesting to see him in the role.

However, BossLogic didn't stop with Evans. He also drew Christian Bale, Jon Bernthal, and Henry Cavill as the fan-favorite character. Evans probably looks the best of these pictures, but personally I think Bernthal comes in as a close second. He also fits Snake's character a bit more than Evans does, but these are good drawings all around, though I have a bit of a harder time picturing Cavill in the role.

There's no word on a release date for a Metal Gear Solid movie, but stick with CinemaBlend and we'll be sure to keep you updated with new information as soon as it becomes available.
