How To Get Your Own Jurassic Park Night Vision Goggles
If you have seen Jurassic Park, then you already know about the scene in which Tim puts on the night vision goggles and sees the Tyrannosaurus Rex for the first time. It's an iconic moment in Steven Spielberg's film, and now it looks like you can own a piece of cinematic history for yourself. That's right, the classic Jurassic Park night vision goggles are now for sale, and we're absolutely starting to save our pennies to afford them.
We have officially learned that Chronicle Collectibles (via IGN) used this weekend's Fan Expo Dallas event to unveil its own licensed line of Jurassic Park night vision goggles. The replica headsets are 1:1 scale, bearing a resemblance to the original set worn by Tim in the film -- complete with camouflage design to match the jungle aesthetic of the Jurassic franchise. That said, it is also worth mentioning that they don't actually provide the wearer with night vision -- which makes sense because actual night vision goggles would likely cost more than the replicas' $449 price tag (don't worry, payment plans are available to help you afford them). These pieces of licensed merchandise are officially available for pre-order, which means that fans of the beloved blockbuster franchise will soon be able to get their hands on them.

Again, and we cannot stress this enough, the goggles don't actually provide the wearer with night vision. You may look awesome while wearing them, but you won't be able to see any goats getting torn apart by prehistoric monsters.
Those night vision goggles have become iconic over the course of the last three decades, but we will have to wait and see what other legendary gadgets and gizmos come out of the Jurassic brand as it continues to expand and evolve. With the upcoming release of J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it looks like we are going to head back to the island in an attempt to rescue the dinosaurs from a volcano. To accomplish that mission, we have to assume that some fancy toys (including night vision) will enter the equation.
