Christopher Robin Trailer: Disney's New Movie Looks Nostalgic And Charming

At some point, we all have to grow up and take responsibility in our lives. That said, that transition shouldn't lead to the end of the child inside of us. That's an idea broached by Disney's upcoming Winnie the Pooh movie, Christopher Robin, and the first, charming teaser for the film will make you feel like a child again. Check out the teaser, below.

Winnie the Pooh has always had an uncanny ability to warm the hearts of children and audiences alike, and this trailer very much captures that spirit. Spotlighting a grown-up Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), the film follows the adult version of the classic children's book hero as he lives out a mundane and stressful life in London. Then one day, to his shock, he finds that his imaginary childhood friend Pooh has emerged from the Hundred Acre Woods to return to his life.

Though this trailer is short, it delivers enough to promise the same tone and style that we have all come to know and love about these characters over the years. Pooh is the only animal from the woods to show up in this trailer, but we already know that other classics like Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl and Eeyore will show up as well.

One primary reason why the trailer for Christopher Robin might make some of you feel so nostalgic is the voice behind the little, stuffed bear. Your ears do not deceive you, that's Jim Cummings performing the voice of the adorable, honey-obsessed icon. Cummings' tenure with Winnie the Pooh dates as far back as the 1980s, and he has become nearly inextricable from the role over the course of the last three decades. Nostalgia is already at a premium in this movie, and actually casting one of the most legendary Pooh voices of all time will go a long way towards re-capturing that feeling of childlike wonder for many of the millennial and Gen X fans out there.

Of course, the casting of Jim Cummings and Ewan McGregor only represents a small portion of the performances worth looking out for in Christopher Robin. In addition to the Star Wars alum and the Winnie the Pooh mainstay, Christopher Robin has also enlisted the vocal chops of Bridesmaids' Chris O'Dowd, Everybody Loves Raymond's Brad Garrett, Doctor Who's Peter Capaldi and Captain America: The First Avenger's Toby Jones, among others.

Disney's Christopher Robin will debut in theaters later this year on August 3. Make sure to mark it down on your moviegoing calendar, and then check out our 2018 movie premiere guide for more information on all of the other major movies set to debut on the big screen this year!

Theres A Fight Scene In Incredibles 2 That Fans Are Going To Love

Theres A Fight Scene In Incredibles 2 That Fans Are Going To Love

This story will have mild spoilers for Incredibles 2, so turn back now if you want to enter the sequel knowing next to nothing.

If you paid close attention to the latest poster for Incredibles 2, you might have noticed a few interesting details that will tease happenings in the sequel. We saw the villain for the first time, the goggled menace known as Screenslaver. We caught a glimpse of new heroes The Wannabes. And you might have noticed baby Jack-Jack firing eye-beam lasers at a raccoon. Here, look:

That should be odd, until you learn that there's a fight scene in Brad Bird's upcoming sequel that the Incredibles 2 team seemed very proud and excited about, and it involves Jack-Jack taking on a raccoon. The studio showed off this lengthy scene at D23 recently, though it was in its earliest stages. During a recent trip to Pixar, CinemaBlend was able to see the final cut, and it's hilariously entertaining.

Pixar is doing what it can to keep Jack-Jack's powers under wraps for now, so I can tell you what I saw but I'll dance around some specifics. Basically, the scene proves that Bob Parr (Craig T. Nelson) doesn't quite understand the full scope of Jack-Jack's abilities. Late one night, with dad asleep on the couch, Jack-Jack spies a raccoon rummaging through the trash. Thinking that the animal looks too much like a criminal on the television set (they sport the same black mask around their eyes), the baby hero investigates, and the brawl begins. It's limited to the backyard, but it's a definite standoff between stubborn personalities, as the raccoon tries to fend off Jack-Jack's attack, only to see that he's horribly outmatched as the toddler's powers reveal themselves. We know from the first movie that Jack-Jack can immerse his body in fire, Human Torch style. The poster proves he has laser beams that can shoot from his eyes. And the raccoon scene shows off a full gamut of the baby's untapped abilities. They are a sight to see!

We can't show you the Jack-Jack versus Raccoon fight yet. What we CAN share is the most recent Incredibles 2 trailer, which dropped last week:

Brad Bird's Incredibles 2 is a sequel 14 years in the making. It catches back up with the Parr family as they are trying to get back into the public spotlight as Supers, but presents all new obstacles for this gifted clan. Zombieland 2 Has An Official Title, And Its Perfect

Zombieland 2 Has An Official Title, And Its Perfect

Now that Venom, one of 2018s biggest box office smashes, has had its time to shine, director Ruben Fleischer has turned his attention to a world he first visited a decade ago, one filled with the undead. The Zombieland sequel, which was officially announced back in July, is a week into filming, and today it was finally announced what said sequel will be called: Zombieland: Double Tap. Additionally, Sony also dropped the first poster for Double Ta, which you can compare to the original Zombieland poster below.

For those of you who havent seen Zombieland, the Double Tap refers to the #2 rule when battling zombies: even if you think the zombie is dead after shooting it once, shoot it again just to make 100% sure the deed is done. So yes, calling the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap is most fitting. It had previously been reported that the project would be called Zombieland Too, but that was debunked earlier this month.

As you can see from the first Zombieland: Double Tap poster, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin will all be back reprising their respective roles. While Breslin has had quite the growth spurt in the decade since Zombieland came out, the other three look the same for the most part, although one can imagine that their characters have become even more hardened since the last movie given that they still have to gun down zombies on a regular basis.

Along with the title and poster reveal, it was also reported by Deadline that Rosario Dawson has been cast in Zombieland: Double Tap. No details about her role were revealed, but she is the latest new face to board the sequel, following behind Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia In the past several years, Dawsons credits have included playing Claire Temple on the Marvel Netflix shows, Unforgettable, Sorry to Bother You and Jane the Virgin. Shell appear this April in the Netflix movie Someone Great and has been tapped to lead the USA Network series Briarpatch.

Along with Ruben Fleischer sitting back in the directors chair and the core quartet of actors stepping back in front of the camera, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick also returned for Zombieland: Double Tap. Their new story sees the starring humans facing off against new kinds of zombies that have sprung up since the events of the first movie, all the while still keeping their unusual family together. Its also been reported that Bill Murray will be back as well, and hell supposedly be accompanied by his Ghostbusters co-star Dan Aykroyd.

Zombieland: Double Tap scares its way into theaters on October 11, so keep backing back with CinemaBlend for more updates on its progress. Dont forget to look through our 2019 release schedule to learn what other movies open later this year.
