What People Are Saying About Deadpool 2's Post-Credits Scene So Far

End credits sequences are not a guarantee, even in the comic-book realm. Marvel Studios might have established the precedent when they brought Nick Fury into the end of Iron Man to launch the Avengers Initiative. DC Comics originally avoided using end-credits sequences (maybe so they wouldn't be compared to the Marvel movies), but over the years, films like Justice League and even X-Men: Apocalypse have tacked on additional content to either tease or entertain fans. Deadpool 2 also has end-credit sequence, and I'm here to tell you, avoid it at your own peril. It easily may be the funniest series of jokes in a VERY funny movie:

OK, so, that's me. But I'm not the only one raving about the end-credits sequence in Deadpool 2. This is not the place to spoil. This is merely the place to educate, so you don't make the mistake of getting up as soon as the movie ends. Or else you are going to miss out.

Deadpool 2 exists in an odd state of limbo. Being a Fox property, there's a very real chance that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will transition over to Disney and possibly fight alongside Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in the MCU. At the same time, if that Disney-Fox merger doesn't happen, there are plans underway for an X-Force movie, with Drew Goddard potentially writing and directing. Again, "limbo" until we know for sure what's happening behind the scenes.

Until that's settled, you will be able to belly up to a second helping of Deadpool when Deadpool 2 opens in theaters on Thursday night. It's the last of the X-Men movies due in theaters this year, after New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix shifted back to 2019.
